Over more than 25 years, my professional work has evolved across technology, innovation, strategy and impact.
A connected practice
I spent 17 of those years across TTGV and METU Technopolis, working on technology, R&D, innovation, entrepreneurship, programme development and ecosystem building. This included work with technology companies, national programmes, public institutions and multi-stakeholder initiatives.
Over time, my work increasingly focused on a related question: how do organisations understand the value and change their strategies and programmes actually create?
Today, I bring these strands together across strategy, innovation and impact — working with organisations on complex programmes, transformation and evidence-informed decision-making.
Technology & innovation foundations
My professional foundations were built through R&D and innovation programmes, technology commercialisation and work with technology companies. Across TTGV and METU Technopolis, I monitored and supported more than 150 R&D projects, developing a practical understanding of how innovation moves from intent to implementation.
Programme and ecosystem leadership
My work expanded from technology and R&D into entrepreneurship, SME development, green transition, social innovation and programme architecture. At METU Technopolis, this included managing and developing an advanced-technology cluster of more than 100 companies, alongside collaboration, technology transfer and business development initiatives.
From strategy to implementation
Much of my work has focused on the space between strategic intent and implementation — shaping programmes, delivery models and structures that translate priorities into action. This has involved working across organisations, partners and stakeholders to make complex programmes workable in practice.
Expanding into impact and value
Over time, my work increasingly examined how organisations understand the outcomes and value their strategies, investments and programmes create. This developed into deep practice in impact strategy and management, evaluation and impact investment, supported by approaches including Theory of Change, SROI and valuation, MEL and the SDG Impact Standards.
Bringing the disciplines together today
Today, I connect strategic direction, innovation and impact rather than approaching them as isolated disciplines. Programme architecture is often the bridge: clarifying the problem, translating intent into an operating programme or system, and building evidence into implementation and decision-making.
This allows me to work across the full pathway from strategic intent to implementation and impact — particularly where organisations are dealing with complex programmes, multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
